Angela Mills is a student, artist, and painter based in Dripping Springs, Texas. She became inspired by the process of intentionally letting go of the daily pressures of life, and allowing herself to mindfully create works. As a soon-to-be graduate with minors in Studio Art and Psychology, she recently realized that the point of participating in art was not to end with a perfect result but to achieve a deeper sense of meaningful connection- with herself as well as her clients. As her first love is the ocean, many of her pieces include elements of vibrant blues and greens and an oceanic atmosphere.

While she still enjoys creating representational art from specific references, such as portraits and land/seascapes, her most recent collection is an abstract one. Primarily working in acrylic media, she uses a process of layering, using washed-out background color(s), and adding elements of various shapes and brush strokes, letting intuition guide her into a complete work.

"When we show up to make art, we need to first get still enough to hear what wants to be expressed through us, and then we need to step out of the way and let it." -Mirabai Starr, Wild Mercy
